The Italian brand Salvimar 's Predathor model can undoubtedly be called the bestseller among pneumatic spearguns made in Italy.
The main advantages of Salvimar Predathor underwater air rifle:
- Made in Italy, the entire production cycle of Salvimar Predathor underwater weapons takes place in Genoa, Italy. As a result, the quality of parts and assembly is very high.
- The very comfortable handle, made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, is ergonomically shaped and tilted 30 degrees relative to the barrel, making even very long underwater hunting comfortable. And most importantly, it is large enough, and the weapon is comfortable to hold even when wearing a 9 mm glove.
- Large trigger guard. Salvimar Predathor is the only Italian speargun with a large trigger guard, which allows hunting even while wearing a 9mm glove.
- Salvimar Predathor speargun has a drum-type side line release. The side line release (compared to the bottom line mount) allows you to wind the line along the barrel of the speargun from the side. When pointing the speargun to one side or the other, the water resistance to the line is minimal, and when we are talking about many hours of spearfishing in rivers with a current, this is very important. In addition, the side line release is very convenient when installing the reel, because when installing the reel with the bottom line release, we have to install it on the side of the speargun, which is simply physically inconvenient. Or pull the line directly onto the reel, risking that the line will get caught on the reel when shooting. In the case of the side line release, all these problems with mounting the reel are automatically eliminated.
- Very reliable line release. Firstly, even if you hit it with a hammer, the lock or handle will break faster than the line release. Secondly, it is a drum type, that is, Salvimar Predathor speargun essentially has 4 replaceable line releases. - Very high power
" Salvimar " guarantees that with this gun, when inflated to 25 atmospheres, you will shoot a fish up to 1 meter in diameter!!! Carp 20+ kg. – easy.
– Accuracy of the shot. Of course, like all pneumatic underwater guns, Salvimar Predathor gun has recoil or the so-called "throw", but due to the high-quality balancing of the gun and the transfer of weight to the barrel, the Predathor model has less recoil than other underwater pneumatic guns.
The rifle also has a disadvantage – it sinks without harpoons. However, firstly, this is easily fixed with a neoprene buoyancy compensator, secondly, this disadvantage is easily compensated by the advantages listed above, and thirdly, it is not so critical, after hitting the fish you will still always hold the line in your hands, and after putting the catch on the string, you will simply pull the rifle along the line.
