Salvimar Predathor Vuoto spearfishing rifle is a so-called "pneumatic vacuum" speargun. What does this mean? - Unlike a simple pneumatic speargun, in a pneumatic vacuum speargun, no water enters the barrel when loading, and when firing, the piston only pushes the harpoon and does not unnecessarily push the volume of water, as in conventional pneumatic spearguns.
This improves the following indicators:
- significantly increases the power of the shot (25–30%);
- the recoil "throw" is reduced, and the accuracy of the shot is accordingly increased;
- the pneumatic vacuum speargun " Salvimar Predathor Vuoto" is easier to load. What does this mean? - A pneumatic vacuum speargun inflated to 15 atmospheres will have the same power as a regular pneumatic speargun inflated to 20 atmospheres. A speargun inflated to 15 atmospheres is obviously easier to load than a speargun inflated to 20 atmospheres;
- Salvimar Predathor Vuoto Special Edition pneumatic vacuum speargun is more reliable than a regular pneumatic speargun, as it has an additional front cuff. When loading, it does not let water into the barrel, nor does it let dirt remaining on the harpoon (for example: sand, silt, algae, etc.). If a grain of sand gets into the barrel during loading and scratches its inner surface, the speargun will start to leak air and, accordingly, become unusable, the barrel will need to be replaced.
At the same time, it should be noted that this advantage has its own drawback: the cuff itself needs to be replaced quite often - it wears out about every 100 shots. If the cuff tears, water starts to enter the barrel when loading, and since there are no holes through which it could escape, the power of the shot decreases to 1-2%. One spare cuff is included in the kit. The cuff is very easy to replace.
In addition to the pneumatic vacuum system, Salvimar Predathor Vuoto underwater gun has a number of other advantages:
- large trigger opening, comfortably fits any size finger with any thickness of glove, including 9 mm.
- Salvimar Predathor Vuoto Special Edition pneumatic speargun, unlike the vast majority of pneumatic spearguns, has a side, not a bottom, line release. The side line release itself is much more convenient and reliable than the bottom, at least due to the location of the line along the receiver, and not at an angle to it, and, of course, due to the convenience of mounting the reel, because when attaching a reel to a weapon with a bottom line release, it is necessary to attach it to the side of the weapon or pull the line directly onto the reel, risking getting caught on it when shooting. Well, the reliability of the line release Salvimar Predathor Vuoto Special Edition should be mentioned separately - fiberglass-reinforced nylon is very difficult to break, and besides, it is of a drum type, and even if you manage to break one tooth, three will still remain;
- Salvimar Predathor Vuoto underwater air rifle has a large, comfortable, atypical handle for Italians, located at a 30-degree angle to the barrel (in general, when you take this weapon in your hand, everything becomes clear);
- The harpoon of Salvimar Predathor Vuoto speargun is equipped with a centering washer, which is very precisely adjusted to the bore of the barrel and the diameter of the harpoon, which prevents the harpoon from hanging completely in the barrel and significantly increases the accuracy of the shot;
