Speedminton (also known as crossminton) is a racquet sport similar to a mix of badminton, tennis, and squash. It is played without a net, using special rackets and a heavier "feather" (called a speeder) that can fly even in windy weather.
Basic rules:
Two players or two teams stand in separate squares approximately 12.8 m apart.
The goal is to knock the speeder into the opponent's court without them having time to hit it back.
Points are scored similarly to badminton.
Most often, up to 16 points are played per set.
How is it different from badminton:
No network.
You can play outside even when it's windy.
The speeder flies faster and farther.
The court is smaller than a tennis court, but larger than a squash court.
