The vest has two 3mm layers of body-hugging insulation and an additional 5mm reinforcement layer made of a special mesh. This creates air pockets between the layers and completely insulates the body from the outside temperature during diving, while providing excellent ventilation. The vest fastens at the front using a YKK #5 zipper.
