Bocce is a team sport game, very similar to the well-known leisure game petanque. However, these games have differences. Petanque balls are designed to be played on sand or gravel or grass. They are made of steel and weigh about 650–800 g, making them difficult for physically weaker people (children, disabled people, seniors), while Bocce balls weigh 275 g, can be played on hard surfaces both outdoors and indoors, and can be not only thrown, but also rolled. This sports game is accessible to everyone.
It can be played by men, women, children, and people with disabilities, regardless of age or physical ability. The game is easy, but very interesting, exciting, engaging, and brings together both young and old people. Bocce is an ancient Greek game in which players tried to hit the ball into the center of a circle as accurately as possible. It is played with red and blue balls. The center is marked by a thrown white ball. According to the rules of the game, it is played 1 against 1, 2 against 2, or 3 against 3. It is played with 6 red and 6 blue balls and one white ball, which is called the "Jack" and is the target. The red and blue balls are divided equally among each player. Each team has 6 balls of the same color. The goal of the game participants is to drop or roll the balls as close as possible to the white ball.
