The surface crew can monitor divers using compatible dive computers linked to the Descent T2 transceivers to monitor cylinder pressure, diver depth and more. Automatic alerts inform the surface crew if there is a problem with the cylinders or depth sections2.
Using a smart device app Garmin Dive The surface crew can communicate with the connected Descent™ dive computers via standard messaging, which alerts divers to certain situations. The Descent S1 buoy also extends the range of diver-to-diver messaging1.
The surface crew can monitor the approximate range of distance to each diver on the SubWave sonar network, up to 100 meters from the Descent S1 buoy2.
Online divers can see distances and directions to the Descent™ S1 buoy, which acts as a clear reference point when returning to base and helps them better assess their surroundings1.
Once on the surface, connected divers can view their underwater color intensity maps on the Garmin Dive smartphone app to see roughly where they explored during their dive.
The sturdy and compact 1 kilogram buoy is shockproof and Waterproof (has an IPX8 rating) up to 10 meters deep.
The rechargeable lithium battery lasts up to 15 hours, so you can dive longer.
